Development Services

Centerfire Economic and its affiliates provide economic development services, by contract, to clients including local governments, companies and economic development boards. We offer a choice of plans based on the size of the community and its budget, allowing companies, communities and other economic development entities the freedom to work within specific budget limits, while also ensuring those communities have access to professional, competent economic development practices.

Communities and economic development boards can choose to engage Centerfire Economic by either temporary or long-term arrangement. Centerfire Economic can serve on an interim basis for communities ultimately searching for permanent development services, but with current projects already on the table that need the attention of professionals. Centerfire Economic can also assist on specific, project-based needs, helping existing developers with specific facets of larger projects. 

Communities gain access to the Centerfire Economic network of affiliated developers and consultants regardless of the length of our engagement.

Centerfire Economic maintains strict confidentiality with all its clients, and reserves the right to reject projects if working on those projects will create conflicts of interest with existing clients.

Some clients might find themselves in need of additional economic development support for specific projects or goals. Centerfire Economic offers supplementary economic development services to help move your project across the goal line.

For communities currently without a developer, Centerfire Economic also offers interim development services so that projects do not fall through the cracks while the community conducts a search for a permanent developer or firm. Centerfire Economic can bring to bear decades of experience in governmental relations, project management, and connectivity with federal and state officials, allowing projects to continue moving forward while the community focuses on a permanent development solution.

Interim/Project-Specific Services typically are contracted based on 60-day terms, renewing as needed until completion of a specific goal.

Often used as a way to bolster existing development strategies, Centerfire Economic's Supplementary Development Services arrangement allows communities to leverage tight budgets to create the most effective development strategy for the dollar. Under this model, Centerfire Economic will typically engage as facilitators, strategic managers, or as professional development for the current development staff. Centerfire Economic effectively assists, but does not manage the project under this model.

In some cases, communities will need a hybrid solution for economic development for a period of time longer than a standard interim arrangement as described by our Interim model, or as managers of a specific project within a larger economic development strategy. The Supplementary model can be a more suitable solution for those cases.

Supplementary Development Services are typically contracted on four-month terms, and are renewable.

Some communities may wish to engage Centerfire Economic as its permanent economic development services provider. For these cases, we offer a full suite of services under contract to communities and economic development boards. As stated above, Centerfire Economic will not enter into a contract to provide these services if doing so would create a conflict of interest with an existing client.

Long-Term Development Services arrangements puts Centerfire Economic in the role of coordinator of economic development strategies for the client, working directly with local officials to craft cohesive strategies for economic development, recruitment and existing industry services. Centerfire Economic will facilitate and manage relationships with consultants and business targets. Another primary benefit of our Long-Term model is the cost savings to communities from overhead, as many of the day-to-day expenses become absorbed by our company structure.

Long-Term Development Services are available by annual or multi-year contract, and are renewable.
